The 2017 Scandinavian Festival

This event sign was standing on the Superior Street side of the First Lutheran Church of Duluth located on 1100 E. Superior Street.

This is a festival sign on the side of the sidewalk nearer the church.

A festival sign on the London Road side of the church looking north.

Here is an artsy photograph of a package of traditional fried, rosettes pastry that I bought at the festival for three dollars.  I haven’t eaten rosettes pastry in many years and these were a real treat for me.

The Oscar Meyer Wiener Mobile at the Halloween Costume Carnival 2017

On Friday October 27, 2017, between 6:15 to 7:30 p.m., the Oscar Meyer Wiener Mobile was in the North Shore Scenic Railroad’s Duluth Depot parking lot for the Lake Superior Railroad Museum's fourth annual Halloween Costume Carnival.

This is the left side of the Oscar Meyer Wiener Mobile.

This is the right side of the Oscar Meyer Wiener Mobile.

The two drivers and tour guides for the Oscar Meyer Wiener Mobile.

The front interior gives great views for both the driver and three passengers.

This is a close-up of one of the two back, comfortable appearing armchairs in behind the main door.

I have no idea what this machine is supposed to do.

I made blueberry taiyaki

To bake these, I used two packages of Pillsbury blueberry muffin mix, two bottles of Chug Vanilla Milk Shake, and two cans of Mother’s Maid Blueberries that I washed the light syrup off of before using.

An unusual looking potato

I have never seen any potato that appeared like this one.  It must have become stuck in a growing tray drain to create such a perfectly round protrusion.

I saw Geostorm 3D and it was good

Sometimes, you should pay the extra few dollars to get the RealD 3D experience for those action and adventure movies.

Today, I saw Blade Runner 2049

I would not have seen this very entertaining movie, if not for five dollar Tuesdays at my Marcus Duluth Cinema!

My review of My Little Pony: The Movie (2017)

PS:  I also loved watching the Hanazuki: Full of Treasures short showed before the My Little Pony movie!

I received my eight King Manor Co-Op food baskets!

This is a sample fruit basket, well worth five dollars.

This is a sample vegetable basket, well worth five dollars.

This is what forty dollars of King Manor Co-Op food baskets looks like!

Today, our King Manor Food Co-Op Club members will be given our food.

I’m looking forward to eating more heart healthy foods.

My tenth time watching the 2017 pony movie

I have been studying how these two dimensional and three dimensional movie images were made and if I can make similar images with the tools I already have.  I really should go back to school, build on the skills I already have, while learning how to make animated movies and/or video games.

One more residents’ club meeting that I will attend.

The club officers and the apartment maintenance crew will install our club’s new TV, with deterrents that will discourage thieves from taking our new TV.

This is evidence of my ninth viewing of the pony movie.

This time, I still found things hidden at the edges that I hadn’t seen before my ninth viewing.  This time, I saw Twilight Sparkle’s four friends featured in the episode Amending Fences on a bridge that Twilight flew under.

My eighth time viewing this excellent movie!

Each time I watch it, I see something that I haven’t seen before!

My seventh time watching the MLP movie!

I found out that B11 or B12 are my favorite seats in 4-Right.  From these seats, the screen fills up my eyeglasses just right to frame the screen within my eyeglasses frame.  If I had to choose my favorite of the two seats, I’ll pick B11 as my all time favorite seat.

By the way, please notice that the soft, Marcus Theater ticket imprint is upside down to the main, printed ticket information.

This is my sixth viewing of the MLP movie.

I walked back home under the moonlight around midnight.  I waited until I got some sleep before I posted this image.

Another overcast day for Downtown Duluth, Minnesota

Photograph was taken within the Rainbow Senior Center’s second street skywalk looking southwest.

King Manor Buy a Basket Co-Op for October 9, 2017

I’m using my page design skills when creating this advertisement to remind residents to purchase these heart-healthy fruit and vegetable baskets.

Something happened after I bought my ticket for the My Little Pony Movie.

My change after purchasing SweeTarts Soft & Chewy Ropes was a quarter painted yellow.

Who and for what motive does someone paint a quarter yellow.

Today, I saw my favorite pony movie for a second time.

If you are interested in excellent animation, well-developed characters, and talented voice acting, you need to see this movie in theaters!

Wednesday, October 4, 2017

This is the first time that I’ve ever preordered a movie ticket.

There is just one more day until I see this wonderful movie.

I’m making an effort to use different backgrounds for my still-life subjects.
