The undeserved hate by crybaby, man children on MLP: FiM’s Fame and Misfortune episode

The Fame and Misfortune episode is not a middle finger to the fans anymore than the “Get a Life!” skit that made fun of Trekker stereotypes performed on Saturday Night Live by William Shatner was a middle finger to hardcore Star Trek fans.  The skit is based upon hardcore fans - who know more about individual episodes than the show’s staff - that attend conventions.  I love this episode because I can see that the main message is to not become so obsessed with the trivial details of individual episodes that you ignore the main message of the episode.  For example, the point of “Pinkie Apple Pie” was not to determine if Pinkie Pie and Applejack are related.  But that friendship and shared experiences can make a group of unrelated people, such as Trekkers or Bronies into a family. That was the reason this episode was made.

I’m organizing my apartment’s first group movie to the downtown cinema.

This trek is a great opportunity for my fellow apartment residents to have an enjoyable, shared experience, while watching a great animated movie.

King Manor club elections are coming soon.

This is the second day of applying a seal coat to the parking lot asphalt.

I find it strange to see a parking lot without vehicles of any kind.

An asphalt seal coat was put on half of King Manor’s parking lot.

During a typical Friday morning, this parking lot is full of resident and visitors’ vehicles.

I sure hope none was harmed in this traffic accident.

After a recent rainstorm, I walked around my apartment to find cool reflections off the standing water.

On the north side of my apartment, I found this reflection on the driveway asphalt of the First Presbyterian Church of Duluth.
