What is on King Manor’s fourth floor bulletin board for October 30, 2022?

You can see more physical, written evidence that the Rainbow Senior Center has become the North Pointe Resource Center.

I bought Vanilla Maizena®

Whenever I buy groceries, I try to buy one type of food that I’ve never bought before.  This way, I do not get stuck in a rut buying the same food all the time.  Furthermore, I never would have found that Vanilla Maizena® is a comforting pudding dessert.

Duluth, Minnesota Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) rebranding

The Rainbow Senior Center has become the North Pointe Resource Center.

A friend who is a longtime King Manor resident told me that HRA thought that the name “Rainbow Senior Center” was giving local residents the impression that their center was exclusively for senior citizens.  Thus, HRA changed this building’s name to something that they thought was more inclusive for children and young adults.

A small plant grows in the drain pipe

I found a small plant growing under the drainage grate cover in a Duluth, Minnesota street.

I circled the plant because it is small and therefore this plant is easy to overlook.

My Unreal Tournament - Capture the Flag level

This is the Blue base with twin towers inspired by an ornamental city gate in a European city.

I had forgotten that I had made this level.  I wonder if I still have the data somewhere.  Even if I found it, I know that Epic Games would not offer me a job interview based on a rather mediocre UT level.

As you can see, I like trains

I painted the train painting on the wall while I was attending East High School.

What my friends have told me to do.

Several times in the past, my friends have told me that I should be writing children’s books.  I suppose that is why I prefer Sesame Street: Game of Chairs (Game of Thrones Parody) more than George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones.

Sometimes I come up with chuckle-worthy humor, such as the time I brought my computer monitor to Downtown Computer whose current home is northeast of downtown on 1601 London Road.  After testing my monitor, the computer technician told me that it was dead.

I replied, “My name is James and I’m a lifelong Star Trek fan.  So, could you say, Its dead Jim”?

While laughing, she told me, “Its dead Jim, and live long and prosper!”

I saw “The Greatest Beer Run Ever”

Even when I already knew the basic story, I was riveted to my seat by John "Chickie" Donohue’s story of bringing bear to his buddies fighting during the height of the Vietnam War.  I saw a 10 out of 10 movie!

Larry Hunt’s King Manor CafĂ©, then and now

Years ago, Larry Hunt rented this space for his cafĂ©.  It must have been difficult for this man to keep clean the Frequently Touched Surfaces (FTS).

Now, this space is an unlabeled storage room.  It is filled with things needed for the Housing & Redevelopment Authority (HRA) custodians to maintain the building.

Today, I saw “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile”

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodilegives the audience an entertaining mix of computer-generated and live-action characters.  I give this movie 9.5 out of 10.

I saw “The Good House”

At first, I saw “The Good House” only to keep my Marcus Magic Movie Reward points from expiring.  Yet, I saw a good movie that I didn’t know about until today.
