The air is -30 below in Duluth, Minnesota!

As a bonus, the Rainbow Center is closed for a third straight day.  This amazingly bone-chilling weather is giving me more stay at home time to send more resumes to companies that reside in southern cities.

The second day the Rainbow Center is closed due to the cold temperatures.

I don't know about any of my followers; but right now the air temperature is -21 and therefore I’m ready for spring and warmer temperatures.

Now, that’s a cold night in Duluth, Minnesota!

I’m happy that I did my shopping on Monday.  Yesterday, because of the cold wind chill, I was unable to walk to the theater and back to see DRAGON BALL SUPER: BROLY.  I didn’t think that any movie was that important to risk frostbite.

The Rainbow Center is closed today, due to very cold temperatures.

Currently, Duluth is between -13 and -15 below, depending on where the measurements are taken.  I can imagine that the Rainbow Center will also be closed tomorrow as well.

Yesterday, I got my Buy a Basket food in the Fourth Floor Dining Room.

This is one of my fruit baskets, not to be confused for the Fruit Basket comic books or the Fruit Basket animated series.

This is one part of my vegetable basket.  I photographed my lettuce separately, as this is a big box compared to my other vegetables.

This is the rest of my vegetable basket of tasty and healthy food.

I bought an eight-pack of paper towels for $3.75 at Super One.

The sales clerk at the checkout register told me that this package must have been put out on the discount shelves only a few minutes before I took it off the shelves.

This small tear was the reason why this package of paper towels was discounted so much.

My revised King Manor residents’ club poster

It seems like the more I practice my graphic designs, the better I get at making my graphic designs.

Because the pizza oven was broken, I bought a Belgian Waffle instead.

This Belgian Waffle was smaller than and not as good as other Belgian Waffles that I can purchase at other Duluth restaurants.  I will not be buying any more of these waffles anytime soon.

Two meeting notices are printed on one remarkable poster.

I hope my posters bring more King Manor residents to our club meetings.

Note:  I noticed some errors on the first draft, so I revised my poster.

Kathy and I saw the Aquaman movie.

As I told Kathy, “We need to see the Aquaman movie because all need more handsome, bare-chested men in our lives.”

I found a discarded, Polish FIFA World Cup cap on the King Manor recycling bins.

This is the front of this very nice cap, with the Polish flag on the rounded crown.

This is the left side view of the same cap.

This is the right side view of the same cap.

This is the back view of the same cap.  This Polish cap only has negligible wear, so I wonder why it was discarded.

This cap’s label says it was made by Edan that must be a Polish company.  However, I can’t find an Edan clothing company online.  So, did the Edan Company change their brand name to Eden sometime between 2002 and 2019, or did the Chinese manufacturing company misprint the Eden name?

The other side of the label says “Wyprodukowano w Chinach” that is Polish for “Made in China”.  So, how did a Polish cap get to Duluth, Minnesota?

There were three police vehicles outside my King Manor apartment building.

One can only wonder what prompted the Duluth Police Department to send three police vehicles to deal with a person or persons unknown to me.

I give you an update on the chain and “Employees Only” warning sign.

“Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.”
- Albert Einstein

Some homeless adult must reason that if they make off with the chain and “Employees Only” warning sign that their criminal vandalism makes it legal for them to sleep on the top floor of the stairwell.

First, because I’m still surprised by human stupidity that means that I need to get out more.

Second, sometimes I wonder why it took modern humans 300,000 years to invent modern civilization.  But, when I come across stupidity such as this, I wonder how humans could invent modern civilization at all.

I bought another really yummy, Mount Royal Market cake.

This cake is for an informal get-together held each Saturday afternoon in the fourth floor dining room.

Amateur art created by BT McCurdy that’s posted at the Rainbow Center, second floor.

This picture depicts a park bench along the Lakewalk.

A picture illustrates a rocky outcrop that two people are sitting on to watch Lake Superior.

This picture portrays the North Shore Scenic Railroad with the “Premiere Historic Lakefront Hotel Fitger's Inn” in the background.

A broken door at the Third Avenue East Transit Stop

I look for neat reflections off of shiny surfaces to create my interesting photos.

My Rainbow Community Center will be closed today for New Year’s Day.

Thus, the earliest the Rainbow Community Center will be reopened will be Wednesday.  Today, I’ll be practicing my writing, page designing, and photography skills.  I’m also documenting minor and temporary things such as this sign that would otherwise be lost to the historical record.
