Under the driveway’s canopy, the driveway and sidewalk
are getting much needed repairs. This
new pavement will soon give Community Center patrons a safer walk to and from
their vehicles.

Why is my favorite MLP: FiM character Twilight Sparkle?
I tend to love stories that have characters
that I can relate to and have similar personalities to my personality. That is the reason why when I was younger
that I loved the original Sailor Moon series; as I could relate to the
character of Sailor Jupiter. I loved
this character so much that bought a Sailor Jupiter costume.
Of the “Mane Six”, Twilight Sparkle is
the character that is closest to my personality in terms of strengths and
weaknesses. It is so easy for me to
project myself into Twilight and that we would react to situations in mostly the
same way that made me a big fan of this amazing series.

Kathy and I saw “POKEMON DETECTIVE PIKACHU”
We both loved “Pokémon Detective Pikachu”, and I give
this movie a ten out of ten. However, I
was surprised that Kathy was surprised at how many Pokémon we saw in this movie. As I have seen a few animated Pokémon episodes
and a few of the animated Pokémon movies; I didn’t tell Kathy that we had seen
just a few of the hundreds of different Pokémon that have been created by the
game artists.

King Manor Buy a Basket Co-op food for May, 2019
This is both the fruit and vegetable baskets that I
bought for Rainbow Center regular patrons.
All those elderly men and women sure do love the free food that I
purchase for them. Their broad smiles
and many thanks when they get this good food are well worth the ten dollars I
spend on this food every month.
Barb asked me to create new King Manor posters
I sometimes rewrite Barb’s text for more clarity or add
additional ideas to motivate my fellow residents to join in Residents’ Club
events.
If you are a King Manor resident, I hope you can attend
our June 12, 2019 meeting. During our
meetings, there is always entertaining, real-world drama between the crazy and
somewhat less crazy residents.
If you are a King Manor resident, you should buy at least
one fruit basket and one vegetable basket for your continued good health.
I spent several hours creating these posters for
Barb. I am keeping my skills sharp for
the day when I might start a career in advertising, marketing, or public
relations.

Yesterday, I attended the Member Dinner & #2435 Locomotive Dedication, Part Two
This was the only dinner table that was in direct
sunlight at this event.
This is the food that I ate during the dinner. I don’t often enjoy very tasty meals like
this one.
This is the appetizing leftovers that I ate for my
breakfast the next morning.
Yesterday, I attended the Member Dinner & #2435 Locomotive Dedication, Part One
This is the postcard notice I got in the mail for this
special event. It feels good to be part
of something that is both bigger than your everyday life and will last for many
centuries to come.
Here is the excellent buffet table that was cooked and then
brought to the Duluth Depot by Blackwoods staff.
Here is the menu of what food was being served that evening.

Gloria Dei Lutheran Church Open House Sun, May 5, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, Part Three
This original window is located on the North-East side,
showing how dark these are.
A window on the North-West side, and despite being as clean as it could be, is
still too dark to allow much light into the building.
Gloria Dei Lutheran Church Open House Sun, May 5, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, Part Two
This is my visual essay on the new stained glass of Gloria
Dei Lutheran Church. We will begin on looking
at the South-West side windows.
These are the
North-West windows, some handcrafted pieces of which were made in Germany.
Looking North-East, we see that these windows are rather
nice, letting in much more light than the original windows that turned the main
hall into a darker place.
I love how these North-East windows cast such brilliant
colors into the building.
Gloria Dei Lutheran Church Open House Sun, May 5, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, Part One
The outside of the restored Gloria Dei Lutheran Church
looks nice. Yet, some additional work
will still be completed this month.
A sign warning people that this is parking lot is for Gloria
Dei Lutheran Church patrons only.
These are the main entrance doors to Gloria Dei Lutheran
Church I used to enter this restored building.

Today, I found a new “Employees Only sign” was installed on the fifth floor stairwell.
This new sign is located above the fifth floor platform,
protecting the stairway leading to the top floor, hot water boiler room. I wonder how long this new sign will last,
until another homeless person pulls this new sign off the wall. I’ll update this story as it progresses in
time.

A May snowstorm in Duluth, Minnesota
This evening, I saw outside my apartment this mix of light
snow and high winds. I also heard some thunder.

My revised again, “Buy a Basket” poster for 2019
Yesterday, the Buy a Basket dates for the rest of the year
was finalized for public posting. Also,
my fellow residents tell me that I’m getting very good at poster design.
I saw UglyDolls and liked this movie.
I rate this good, but not great movie musical an 8 out
of 10. I loved the animation, music, and
protagonist, but the villain came across as lackluster and therefore uninteresting.
Our next meeting for our King Manor Residents’ Club is Wednesday
I hope my poster can persuade residents who have been apathetic
about attending club meetings to attend this meeting. We can overcome residents’ alienation and fatigue
by these people getting involved in our apartment community and start building
a strong and effective social network to improve the well-being of all
residents.

Duluth Senior Centers: Rules of Conduct
Many of my apartment building’s newer residents are
unaware of these rules or choose to break these rules. Thus, I’m posting those rules of conduct
here.

I had breakfast for dinner at the Duluth Lions Club Pancake Day 2019!
This is
my third and last ticket for the 62nd Annual Pancake Day at the DECC or “Duluth's
Great Get Together”.
Also, breakfast
for dinner is a part of “The Perfect Pear” that is the thirteenth episode of
season seven of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Breakfast for lunch at the Duluth Lions Club Pancake Day 2019
This ticket for the event got me a tasty lunch.
This is my Thursday Lunch at the Duluth Entertainment
Convention Center (DECC), Pioneer Hall, with two extra sausages.
As you can see, the Pioneer Hall lighting is not the best for close
photography.

Here is the ticket that I used to purchase my breakfast
this morning.
