While walking to my Lake Superior Transportation Club meeting; I found this painted rock within the car parking lot under King Manor.

I hope a new apartment building is built on this ground, starting construction in 2025.  I hope a new building with a similar building façade will be built here.

That is a sad end to a once luxuriant apartment building.  Also, with an affordable housing shortage in the Twin Ports, another apartment building needs to be built on this ground.

A funny thing happened on my way to the fourth floor lobby.  I found my way to the fourth floor lobby barricaded at the central stairwell.

I see that only the brick chimney is still standing.

Now you see it (the Coca-Cola billboard).  While walking east from western downtown Duluth, seeing this billboard put a smile on my face; because it was a sign that I am close to my home.

And now you don't.  I hope that the replacement building as a replica of this billboard.

I was surprised that so few people were watching the demolition of the Pastoret Terrace building.

This once beautiful Pastoret Terrace building is coming down today.

By this evening, all that will remain of the Pastoret Terrace building will be bricks, scorched wood, dust, and memories of this once grand apartment building.

While I hate to see this historic structure disappear forever; I hope a similar apartment building could be built on First Street.  But, wherever happens to that location, never bring back the Kozy Bar.

I found this big sign on the fourth floor of the Duluth Depot.

I love this Dragon Fruit, youth art project.  The Dragon Fruit should be described in the next edition of the Monster Manual.  

That reminds me of a story of my youth.  When I was slow to get myself out of bed in the morning; my mother would tell me that I must have a soul of a dragon because I sleep like a dragon.  If I do have a dragon’s soul, that would explain much about my character and personality.  😊
