Many of the old posters have disappeared from the fourth floor bulletin board.  I have never seen this bulletin board with so few posters before now.

I found the southern extension of North Sixth Avenue East.

North Sixth Avenue East is being extended from East Second Street to East First Street.  I have no idea why this street is being built; as Duluth’s street grid appeared to me to be just fine without this.

Excalibur Con August 16-17, 2025

Excalibur Con is a Pop Culture and Tabletop Gaming Convention that’s planned for Duluth’s Entertainment Convention Center.  While it looks like a fun event, I have no idea if I will be able to attend Excalibur Con.

Is your player character a descendant of a deity? (Part 2)

An important event happened at the creation of my D&D campaign world, a variant of the world of Toril otherwise known as the Forgotten Realms.  A Celestial and an adult Silver Dragon fell in love and then had a child that over many years became Lord Apex, the God of good dragons.  The previous God of good dragons died in a battle against evil.

And then, over many centuries, Lord Apex fell in love and then married many mortal women of many different species.  Lord Apex said that his children are as beautiful as the Moon and as bright as the Stars.  Thus, he named his family’s last name Moon-Star.

All members of the Moon-Star extended family have trace amounts of Celestial and Silver Dragon in themselves.  Therefore, Lord Apex considers all (player character and non-player character) members of the Moon-Star family - regardless of species - as part of his extended family tree.  If politely and respectfully asked, Lord Apex will give what he considers the correct amount of aid and/or apprenticeship to any members of his extended family.

Lord Apex lives in a celestial plane palace that has a very large school for adventurers who train to fight against evil.  Graduating from this school allows player characters an edge in being hired for jobs.

Yesterday, I attended the LSRM meeting

The meeting ended with a fun presentation by Museum member Jay Gabler who review part of his new book, “100 Things to do in Duluth before you die,” related to trains.

The Railroad Museum was being setup to celebrate National Train Day.

I saw this in Downtown Duluth at 4:26 PM.

Walking on the streets of Downtown Duluth was pleasant.

Princess Twilight Sparkle refurbished

After a few years of standing a shelf, I returned her to Build-A-Bear Workshop ®, where I bought her a new SCENTiments ® Stuffed Animal Scent and a new Heartbeat Effect sound chip insert!

 

At Burggraf's Ace Hardware ®, in Duluth I bought 3 batteries to power her sound box in her right front hoof.

 

Now, I ask Build-A-Bear Workshop ® to create a stuffed doll of Alexei Andreovitch Shostakov, the Soviet Union's first official super soldier known as Red Guardian.  He is also a founding member of the New Avengers.  The doll would be wear his uniform based in his appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
