‘Vision Northland’ project, part 3

This picture was taken on the skywalk connecting the Essentia Health Second Street Building to the Essentia Health First Street Building, looking west. I had to take these blog pictures on a cloudy day, as waiting a few days for a sunny day would mean that the construction sites would change dynamically over a few days.

This picture was taken looking east on the skywalk connecting the Essentia Health Second Street Building to the Essentia Health First Street Building.

‘Vision Northland’ project, part 2

This Essentia Health Second Street Building that contains a parking ramp, office space, a health club, and retail stores that was opened for business after I was born, opened in the year 1990, is making way for the new health center.  It sometimes surprises me that my United States is so wealthy that we can take down structures that are still useful to build bigger structures.

Unlike other bloggers, I take the time to lookup data about the subjects that I blog about.  I hope that my research gives me practice for landing a job in journalism.

This is a closer look at two information signs that tell any unaware visitors of the permanent closure of this parking ramp.

‘Vision Northland’ project, part 1

This is the first of I hope many images of the ‘Vision Northland’ project that I’ll create.  This is the project site looking east on Second Street and west of North Fourth Avenue East.

This location is looking south on Second Street and North Fourth Avenue East.

The mystery of the Essentia Health-Duluth 1st Street elevator

I wonder why there are three extra buttons inside this elevator that apparently serve no useful purpose at all.  All the Essentia personnel I’ve asked have no idea why there are three extra buttons for this elevator.

Adas Israel Congregation Synagogue after the fire

I wonder if this synagogue will rebuild on that stone foundation, or relocate to a different location.  At least the odor of burnt wood has disappeared from this ruin.

King Manor shopping carts are where they belong.

Many heretic songs will be sung and much strong beer drank in celebration of this day when both of our shopping carts are in their appointed parking spaces.  Usually, lazy King Manor residents can’t find the energy to take these carts back down to the ground level after they are finished using these.  Yes, I know that I’m imitating talking like Thor from “Avengers Assemble” animated television series.

Right street lane closed in preparation for Vision Northland construction

I hope this lane closure means that my friend Kathy will still be able to park her car on Second Street when she occasionally visits me.
