I attended the Bob Tavani House event at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church

Invited by President Barb, this is the lasagna dinner I ate at the Wednesday Church Night supper and faith formation program, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at the Parish Hall.  The presentation about the all volunteer operated Bob Tavani House was very interesting.

After the presentation I talked to senior pastor, Rev. Bill Van Oss about watching the Shady Oak Ministries episode, Amending Fences.  I then bought a bottle of milk at Super One, and then rode the bus back to King Manor.

I found orange markings on the Second Street sidewalk, south side.

It appears that something will be replaced under this sidewalk in the next few months.

I saw Jersey barriers also named as Jersey walls near my apartment.

Looking south, I saw these barriers setup on North Fourth Avenue East and East Second Street.  There will be many opportunities for construction photos between now and the year 2022, when Vision Northland construction will conclude.

I found “The love that you deserve”, Consent Week at UMD.

I got delicious tea and this important message at the Consent Week event that was hosted in the Kirby Garage in the Kirby Student Center.

These are important facts to remember in any intimate, interpersonal relationship.  I hope that everyone, regardless of who they are, will live by these consent rules.  After all, as these students reminded me, sexual harassment to sexual assault happens in all types of relationships, not just heterosexual relationships.

‘Vision Northland’ project, part 6

The Amendola Building, located at 405 East Superior Street will not be in existence for much longer.  I know that a number of different business and offices have resided within this modern structure.

I took this image of the Amendola Building looking east.

I took this image of the Amendola Building looking west.

‘Vision Northland’ project, part 5

I saw this construction work on North Fourth Avenue East, looking south.

From the parking ramp, I saw two backhoes and their operators, with additional workers digging holes on North Fourth Avenue East.

I am standing on the parking ramp skywalk, looking south to the intersection of North Fourth Avenue East and Superior Street.  I’m happy to see more progress in my Duluth.

‘Vision Northland’ project, part 4

I saw two backhoes of two different sizes on First Street.  I’m not sure why the street is being dug up for the ‘Vision Northland’ construction project.
