A funny thing happened on my way to the fourth floor lobby.  I found my way to the fourth floor lobby barricaded at the central stairwell.

I found my way to the fourth floor lobby barricaded at the eastern hallway.

I found my way to the fourth floor lobby barricaded at the pedestrian bridge between King Manor and the North Pointe Resource Center / Rainbow Center.

Pastoret Terrace building, the farewell performance

I see that only the brick chimney is still standing.

Coca-Cola billboard on the “newest” section of the Pastoret Terrace building

Now you see it (the Coca-Cola billboard).  While walking east from western downtown Duluth, seeing this billboard put a smile on my face; because it was a sign that I am close to my home.

And now you don't.  I hope that the replacement building as a replica of this billboard.

I was surprised that so few people were watching the demolition of the Pastoret Terrace building.

This once beautiful Pastoret Terrace building is coming down today.

By this evening, all that will remain of the Pastoret Terrace building will be bricks, scorched wood, dust, and memories of this once grand apartment building.
