More Superior Street reconstruction

Skilled construction workers are rebuilding the retaining wall west of the Gateway Tower.

I didn’t know that these workers used specialized chainsaws to cut those big plastic pipes.

The approximate spot where the bricks were taken up during the “Kick Up the Bricks” event has now become a puddle of muddy water.

A color postcard of Downtown Duluth, Minnesota

This postcard depicts the former railroad yard before it was replaced with Interstate 35.  I can’t believe that I had forgotten how fun it was to watch trains from the skywalk connecting the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center to the south and the Wells Fargo Bank parking ramp to the north.

I attempted to see if Annabelle Gallagher's Postcards and Pub Condition is still in business or not.  After finding no record of recent business activity, I attempted to locate the business address listed on the postcard using Google Maps.  However, the home numbers on Daniels Road, Duluth, Minnesota has been renumbered to four digits.  That change of addresses makes it impossible for me to find the former business office.

This will be the last month these posters will be posted at my apartment

I intend to create new posters once the new days for money collection and food distribution are decided by the King Manor Buy a Basket Food Club membership.

I took this image between the Radisson Hotel Duluth – Harborview to the north and the Duluth Public Library to the south.  This was the area that the bricks were taken from during the Kick up the Bricks event.  This area appears different when the pavement has been taken up.

Lake Superior Railroad Museum 2018 Annual Members’ Dinner

Photography is tricky when you are photographing a pale screen in a brightly lit room.

For the money I spent, I got an appetizing meal, followed by an informative presentation about the Lake Superior Railroad Museum.  Yes, I acknowledge that I have posted many blog post photos of plates of delicious food.  My favorite type of train is passenger trains, as passenger trains have dining cars that serve delicious food.

More fun playing Team Fortress 2 (TF2)

I mostly play the engineer or medic, as these TF2 character classes usually fit my mood during these games.
