What I found on Superior Street by the Greysolon Plaza

That is much concrete and plastic pipe that will be used in the second phase of the Superior Street reconstruction.  The Greysolon Plaza that was once the Hotel Duluth is in the background.

I wonder what the workers who used mostly hand tools that first cleared Superior Street out of a hillside forest would have thought of these big construction vehicles.  I can only wonder what construction machines will be used to rebuild Superior Street in the next century.

New conduit put down under Superior Street

I don’t know what this new conduit will be used for, but these seems to be robustly enclosed in colored concrete.

I wonder if this street was designed for possible construction of tracks for streetcars or light rail vehicles.  I would love to see modern streetcars on Superior Street.

The Rainbow Center will be closed today to give Rainbow Center workers a long weekend.

I wonder why these are hand printed signs, when they could appear so much nicer with printed letters and some free clip art.

Our fourth floor vending machine was repaired and refilled with food.

I didn’t see my nifty “out of order” sign in the nearby trash can; so I think that the vending machine repair crew took it with them.  I can find many neat things for my blog in the mundane, everyday world and so can you.

As I take the city bus for any long distance travel, buying all this food will take more than just one trip to the Dollar Tree.
