I attended the Festival of Sail Duluth 2019, Part One

My event ticket for the event!  After careful thought, I will only post the images that I found interesting about these tall ships and other things.

A small replica of the Statue of Liberty, southwest of the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center looks at the tall ships.

This is the S/V Denis Sullivan, the first ship we will tour.

Veterans Day 2019 in Duluth, Minnesota

This nicely maintained jeep is the leading vehicle for the Veterans Day parade.  This photo was taken in front of the Duluth Depot.

This military truck is one of the spectator favorites in the Veterans Day 2019 parade.

King Manor kitchen renovations continue this Friday.

It takes a long time to complete these kitchen renovations, much longer than the crews from This Old House would.  However, I’ve only seen one worker working at any one time on this kitchen project.

A temporary concrete sidewalk on Superior Street

Located on the street corner of Superior Street and North Lake Avenue next to the Duluth Technology Village, I’m sure that a concrete sidewalk with a few randomly placed bricks is not part of the final design for the street reconstruction.  However, a concrete sidewalk with a few randomly placed bricks might be cool for a new walkway leading up to my new home that I may or may not build in the near future.

Next to that temporary sidewalk is this section of Superior Street that needs to be paved.  You can get a good idea on how thick the street pavement is by looking at the height of the street curb that will be filled in with street pavement.

Portable construction lights on Superior Street

If these construction crews are moving these portable lights, does that mean that the new street lights will soon be turned on?

DTA and Arrowhead Transit buses stopped for a red light on Second Street

I’m happy that more transit options are being created for Minnesota transit users.
