A member of the S/V Denis Sullivan’s crew gave me this sticker while I was touring their vessel.  From a Google search, I found that this ship is owned by Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin.  I will have to revisit this ship as well as tour Discovery World, if I ever visit Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

I’m sure that skateboards were not a part of the inventory on the original Niagara.  Historical inaccuracies aside, I’m sure that the contemporary Niagara’s crew love skateboarding in many different sea ports during their Great Lakes tours.

I love how this mast and rigging on the Niagara make a dark silhouette against the overcast sky in Duluth, Minnesota.  That concludes our tall ships tour and I hoped you liked this.

As a history buff on all kinds of topics, I loved the signs telling visitors about how the US Navy, sea battles, and naval bombardments of 1812 shaped history.

I can’t imagine being part of the crew, loading and firing these cannon on the exposed deck during a fierce sea battle.

I was deeply impressed at how filled this cabin is with charts and modern navigation equipment.

With space at a premium, I was not surprised to see a folding table on the Denis Sullivan.

A vice tool on the deck, with a tool chest means that repairs are often done by the crew.  I didn’t expect a green plant to be behind the tool chest.

Everyone has their water bottle to keep hydrated on those long voyages on the Great Lakes.  A motorcycle is in the background.

Motorcycles are stored on the Sullivan’s deck.  A woman on the crew told me that motorcycles are great ways for her and her friend to get around in port cities.

I had to use the required, upward shot of the big ship’s masts and rope rigging.

I found a useful map of the ship.  Desktop publishing sure is a great way for this crew to create and print quality publications without a hiring a team of publication specialists.
