King Manor kitchen renovations for November 16, 2019.

Residents that I have talked with tell me that they are pleased that King Manor’s maintenance staff completed more renovations in our community kitchen.

Discord and Fluttershy cast shadows on my kitchen wall.

I noticed these attractive shadows on my kitchen wall this morning and then decided to make a nice picture of it.  If you pay attention to your common, everyday surroundings, you can find pictures in unexpected places.  You don’t need to trek to a national park to get interesting pictures, as you can find interesting pictures in your home.

Phase Two of the Superior Street reconstruction had a modest celebration to celebrate the street reopening to traffic, Part Three

To my mind, these few bricks embedded into the concrete sidewalk are a rather striking, yet temporary addition, to the Superior Street north sidewalk.  My photo is looking southwest, on the corner of East Superior Street and North Lake Avenue.

Mayor of Duluth Emily Larson is wrapping up the Superior Street reopening celebration.  I really love how that round bicycle rack in the street’s north sidewalk gives a halo to the news photographer.

That very clean dump truck is being driven away from the celebration crowd to symbolically conclude the end of the celebration and Phase Two reconstruction.

Starting at 10:00 AM, these construction workers posed for celebratory photos.  I notice that I had wrote “constriction” for “construction” and almost posted my blog post before I noticed that rather embarrassing error.

I admire that sound technician working hard to get all those speaker voices recorded for the local news broadcasts.  Kneeling on that cold concrete must have been unpleasant for that technician.

Historic Kozy Bar and Apartments being cleaned before demolition begins.

This ACCT Asbestos Control Consulting Team truck is based in Cloquet, Minnesota.  ACCT sure owns a nifty looking service truck.  This truck has a wide variety of tools to cleanup a wide variety of cleanup sites.

A big dumpster located west of the ACCT truck and out of frame of the first picture is filled with building debris from the Kozy Bar.  I wonder why it took a cleanup team many years, from the 2010 fire, to empty the Kozy Bar.

I wonder if these booze bottles were emptied before or after the Kozy Bar fire.
