Today, I took a bus trip to a picnic at Jay Cooke State Park, Part 6

On the way back to the Rainbow Senior Center, I took this photo looking east to Downtown Duluth on the Mesaba Avenue Bridge over West Superior Street.  In the center is Duluth’s Gateway Plaza, described in city documents as a “landscaped plaza with a concrete sculptural element shaped in the form of a sail”.  West Michigan Street is to the right of the plaza, while West Superior Street reconstruction is to the left of the plaza.

A photo of the same street reconstruction, a few meters north of the first location.  It looks like it will take the construction crews a few more days to complete the reconstruction of West Superior Street.
