What is an isekai story? Isekai
is going to another world (Gate) or time travel (Inuyasha). Most Star Trek episodes are not isekai. But, to satisfy my curiosity, I checked the original
series for any isekai episodes.
“The Naked Time” To save
the Enterprise, Scott makes a full-power restart of the warp engines, propelling the Enterprise at impossible speed away from the dying planet
into a Space-Time warp sending the ship back 71 hours in time.
“Tomorrow Is Yesterday”
The Enterprise time travels back to 1969.
“The Alternative Factor”
where there is a version of Lazarus from Kirk’s universe and an insane version
of Lazarus from an alternate dimension.
“The City on the Edge of
Forever”, where high on drugs, Dr. McCoy becomes unbalanced and disappears
through the Guardian of Forever, a
newly discovered time portal on a remote planet.
“Mirror, Mirror”, is an
episode where a transporter mishap slips Captain Kirk and his companions into a
parallel universe, where the Enterprise serves a barbaric Empire instead of the
Federation.
“Assignment: Earth”, The
Enterprise time travels back to 1968.
“The Tholian Web” is an
episode where the Defiant vanishes and goes back in time into the Mirror
universe.
“All Our Yesterdays”. This is another time travel episode.
Wow! I had no idea that there are so many isekai episodes
in Star Trek.
