These pictures were taken behind the Canal Park Lodge. The first picture looks south, featuring a
walker, wearing the blue jacket, who pays no attention to a “Lakewalk Closed”
sign or the orange fence to walk where he should not walk.
This second picture looks north, to the area where the
first picture was taken. I can’t imagine
the power it took to force those rocks and
logs into the shore, covering up the
pedestrian path, the bicycle path, and the horse carriage path.
This third picture shows how the waves damaged the
pathway lights, breaking off one light fixture and making another light pole
lean east, away from Lake Superior.
